Herb Magick

Magic has been defined as "the science and art of causingchanges to occur in conformity withwill." What this means isthat conflict occurs when people are not living their true will. The purpose in learning magic is to discover that true will (notnecessarily desire) and then live it.

Aleister Crowleystarted putting ‘’K’’ with magic, thus making it magick. He gave reasons why he used the term "magick," and these reasons are often ignored. The central reason was that he considered magick to be anything that moves a person close to fulfilling their ultimate destiny, which he called one's True Will.

By this definition, magick doesn't have to be metaphysical. Any action, mundane or magical that helps fulfill one's True Will is magick. Casting a spell to get someone's attention is most certainly not magick. Magick can be done almost with everything around as this magical Universe itself has so much to play with.

The world of plant life holds limitless possibilities to create magick for those willing to learn its secrets. While the trees, shrubs, flowers and "weeds" we see all around us may seem ordinary to a novice, they are actually very potent tools of magic. The inherent magical power of herbs comes directly from the source of all creation, and it has the potential to transform our lives. For those who are always close to nature, herbal magic keeps them literally in touch with the energies of the Earth, along with the Sun, the rain, the wind, and every living thing that sustains the cycle of life and death in all of its forms. When used wisely, herbs can help us create what we desire, in matters of love, health, wealth, and more.Of course, working with herbs is a tradition much older than any else known . Since the beginning of human history, healers, shamans, and other medicine people have understood the nutritional, medicinal, and magical properties of herbs.

Many books on magical herbs contain extensive lists of ingredients that may be expensive, difficult to find, or both. Unless you already have a well-stocked herb pantry, trying to decide where to start can be overwhelming. Here, at Reiki and Tarot Center, herb magick is taught using the herbs easily available in any kitchen. Of course the herbs have their own magical properties but the intention of the practitioner of herb magick and his rapport with the nature increases the potency of every herb that is used.
